Congratulations to:
~ Emily Gran on the purchase of Weber for the Jumpers, Equitation & Medals.
~ Betsy Kohr on the sale of Lilly to Lori Sarago of Pennsylvania.

Congratulations to all the STR riders showing at Show Park!
~ Javen Benton and "Bravo" were Reserve Champion Children's Hunters 13 and under at the first show and McKenna Klink and "Roxton" were Reserve Champion in the same division the second week.

~ Maddie James and "Cover Girl" were Reserve Champion in the Green Pony Hunters the first week.

~ Ashley Walton and "Wingspann's Robert A" won a Green Pony class and got great ribbons in the Large Pony Hunter division her first 3' show.

~ Samara Heinrichs got great ribbons in difficult and large classes both weeks on "Jacob's Son" and "Arthur".

~ Kerri Grosslight got top ribbons with "Double Expresso" in the classics and Modified Jr/Am classes.

~ Jaclyn Burke and Hannah Walton joined us the first week for a Del Mar vacation and Emily Gran came to hang and ride/try horses at the second show. Emily, Samara and McKenna shared the test rides on lots of horses.

~ Peg Sorenson has taken "Pal" to his new home in Wisconsin. We will miss him but know that she will enjoy him as much as we did.

Smoke Tree Ranch will be hosting a clinic with Joie Gatlin October 11-12:
Joie is one of the leading competitors on the national show jumping circuit. As a junior competitor, she won the United States Equestrian Team Medal Finals. As a professional, she has ridden several hunters to Horse of the Year Awards, won Grand Prix Show Jumping classes, represented the United States in World Cup competitions, and competed in the Olympic Trials. As a member of the West Coast Active Riders European Tour, Joie won several European Grand Prix. She also received the Leading Lady Rider Award at Royan, France.
