| News from Week 1 - Colorado Summer Classic Horse Show: | |||
| It is beautiful here! We have heard thunder, seen lightening and double rainbows!!! Fortunately the weather has not affected our horse showing. . Jaclyn Burke received good ribbons in the medals with Jacob's Son. . Abby Murphy won both over fences and on the flat classes with "Sophie" aka Uptown Girl and took on the .85 meter jumpers on her final day. . Shannon Holzer won 2 classes with Virtue and placed consistently in the children's hunters 14-17. A nice beginning for Shannon with STR! . Kerri Grosslight and her horses placed in the jumper rings and are getting back on track now.... :-)) . Sean Summers placed well in the Jumpers on Joey and was 3rd in the $2000.00 classic at 1.20m . Carly Casper's horse Alcaprin placed well in the pre green hunters. We look forward to having Carly, Javen and Ashley in Colorado this coming week. | |||

Results from the week include (but are not limited to)... . Reese: 5th out of 54 in the USHJA Hunter Classic . Javen Benton and Bravo: small junior hunter champion winning 3 classes . Ashley Walton and Robby: Reserve Champion pony jumper winning 2 classes . Sean Summers and Joey: 2nd in MS Jumper classic and won a qualifying class . Shannon Holzer and Virtue: Won 2 children's hunter classes and top ribbons in the others . Carly Casper and Alcaprin: Won the Eq. o/f and top ribbons in the children's hunter classes . Reese: 5th out of 54 in the USHJA Hunter Classic All the jumpers were good and performed well! | |||
News from Colorado - Week 3! . Shannon Holzer and Virtue - Champion in Children's Hunter 14-17! (26 in the division) . Abby Murphy and Uptown Girl - Champion in Long Stirrup Division making them CIRCUIT CHAMPION in Long Stirrup 17 & under!!! . Kerri Grosslight's jumpers really began to click! With limited show days due to rain, she and her horses won classes and performed well. . Jaclyn Burke, riding Jacob's Son, won good ribbons in the medals and equitation classes. . Ashley Walton moved up to the Children's Jumper division (low) on Joey and got great ribbons! (28 in her division) . Colorado was enjoyed by everyone who attended. There were so many friends from all over the country to re-unite with. Riders from Florida, Kentucky, Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Minnesota, Washington, Canada, Mexico, California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and all over the mid and western states! Many thanks to all the parents and siblings who helped and stayed with us. Our non-riding adventures included: river rafting, indoor skydiving, water parks, Elich's Park in Denver, bowling, swimming and laser tag! We had many wonderful dinners as well. A huge thank you to our wonderful horses!!!! A special thank you to the Murphy family for the fabulous video of photos taken during our 3 week stay in Colorado. No one would remember the Good Samaritan if He only had good intentions. Progress not perfection... What matters the most is showing up for your life.......every day!! | |||
